Tipos de Containers de Carga
Los containers de carga, también conocidos como contenedores, son estructuras estandarizadas metálicas en su mayoría, utilizadas para transportar mercancías de forma eficiente y segura. Existen varios tipos, diseñados según el tipo de carga que transportan:
1. Container Dry Van (Estándar)
Descripción: El más común. Cerrado, hermético, sin refrigeración.
Tamaños típicos: 20 pies y 40 pies.
Uso: Mercancía seca y general como cajas, muebles, textiles, etc.
2. Reefer (Refrigerado)
Descripción: Equipado con un sistema de refrigeración.
Uso: Transporte de productos perecederos como frutas, carnes, lácteos y medicamentos.
3. Open Top
Descripción: Sin techo, permite carga desde arriba.
Uso: Cargas pesadas o voluminosas que no caben por las puertas, como maquinaria o materiales de construcción.
4. Flat Rack
Descripción: Sin paredes laterales ni techo. A veces con extremos plegables.
Uso: Carga sobredimensionada o pesada, como vehículos grandes o estructuras metálicas.
5. Open Side
Descripción: Una pared lateral completa puede abrirse.
Uso: Facilita la carga lateral de objetos grandes o difíciles de manipular.
6. Tank Container
Descripción: Contenedor cilíndrico dentro de una estructura metálica.
Uso: Transporte de líquidos a granel como productos químicos, vino o aceites.
7. Bulk Container
Descripción: Diseñado para cargar productos a granel (no líquidos).
Uso: Granulados, polvos o pequeños productos sólidos como granos, fertilizantes o cemento.
